Mobile Phone Battery Usage Tips: Your new MOTOROLA mobile phone battery comes in a discharged condition. Upon initial use (or after prolonged storage period) the mobile phone battery may require two to three charge/discharge cycles before achieving maximum capacity. It is important to condition (fully discharge and then fully charge) the MOTOROLA mobile phone battery every two to three weeks. Failure to do so may significantly shorten the battery's life (this does not apply to Li-Ion batteries, which do not require conditioning). To discharge, simply run your device under the battery's power until it shuts down or until you get a low battery warning. Then recharge the battery as instructed in your user's manual. If the MOTOROLA mobile phone battery will not be in use for a month or longer, it is recommended that it be removed from the device and stored in a cool, dry, clean place. Do not store the mobile phone battery completely discharged. A 50% charge is optimum for storage. Self-discharge on a depleted mobile phone battery may trigger the built-in protection circuit which will hold back a recharge. A charged mobile phone battery will eventually lose its charge if unused. It may therefore be necessary to recharge the mobile phone battery after a storage period. Do not expose the mobile phone battery directly to sunlight. Do not disassemble the mobile phone battery, as that will result in leakage of electrolytic substances. Keep the MOTOROLA mobile phone battery away from metal objects to avoid short circuit of the battery's terminals. |
