Mobile Phone Battery Usage Tips: Your new T-MOBILE mobile phone battery comes in a discharged condition. Upon initial use (or after prolonged storage period) the mobile phone battery may require two to three charge/discharge cycles before achieving maximum capacity. It is important to condition (fully discharge and then fully charge) the T-MOBILE mobile phone battery every two to three weeks. Failure to do so may significantly shorten the battery's life (this does not apply to Li-Ion batteries, which do not require conditioning). To discharge, simply run your device under the battery's power until it shuts down or until you get a low battery warning. Then recharge the battery as instructed in your user's manual. If the T-MOBILE mobile phone battery will not be in use for a month or longer, it is recommended that it be removed from the device and stored in a cool, dry, clean place. Do not store the mobile phone battery completely discharged. A 50% charge is optimum for storage. Self-discharge on a depleted mobile phone battery may trigger the built-in protection circuit which will hold back a recharge. A charged mobile phone battery will eventually lose its charge if unused. It may therefore be necessary to recharge the mobile phone battery after a storage period. Do not expose the mobile phone battery directly to sunlight. Do not disassemble the mobile phone battery, as that will result in leakage of electrolytic substances. Keep the T-MOBILE mobile phone battery away from metal objects to avoid short circuit of the battery's terminals. |
